The ancient medieval origins are clearly visible in the Upper Town of Bergamo, the original nucleus of the city and today exclusive historical center, composed of ancient palaces and historic houses, evocative and perfectly preserved. The lower part of Bergamo, located at the foot of the Upper Town, is instead an elegant and modern city, lively and contemporary.
