Bergamo, UNESCO world heritage

Born in the VI Century BC, Bergamo is the result of a thousand-year history, which characterizes the views and the views of the city, made of ancient walls and palaces that refer to the Middle Ages.

The ancient medieval origins are clearly visible in the Upper Town of Bergamo, the original nucleus of the city and today exclusive historical center, composed of ancient palaces and historic houses, evocative and perfectly preserved. The Venetian Walls, an impressive 16th-century building that has recently become a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are the setting.

The lower part of Bergamo, located at the foot of the Upper Town, is instead an elegant and modern city, lively and contemporary.
